The Things That Matter Most Written by: Brad Shaw / The Silent Partner I think that the things that matter most Have a tendency to cross my mind as I walk along the coast Everything is gonna be okay as long you're around Everything is gonna be just fine So maybe I forget sometimes the things I want to say Holdin' on a little tight sometimes to the thoughts of yesterday But we're all a little full of little storms, We never really know what is to come Everything is gonna be just fine Sometimes worries choke and hurry life, It's a fight, but darlin' Hold on tight, it's worth the fight I know, At least I think so... But I know that I have to try, That's the reason why I am alive Everything is gonna be just fine (Harmonica Solo) Sometimes worries choke and hurry life, it's a fight, but darlin' Hold on tight, it's worth the fight I know, at least I think so But I know I have to try, That's the reason why I am alive Everything is gonna be just fine And maybe I'm afraid sometimes of the things I do not know Have a tendency to cross the line further than I should probably go Couldn't help myself to say what I really I thought, Now I realize that I shouldn't talk Everything is gonna be just fine I think that the things that matter most Cross my mind as I hold your hand and walk along the coast What with all these things we care about You can't control the way that they turn out Everything is gonna be just fine We're all a little full of little storms We never really know what is to come Everything is going to be just fine

Drift 04:44
Drift Written by: Brad Shaw / The Silent Partner VERSE 1 The sun comes up steaming in the eastern skies and settles back down in the west where I live my life and I find out how fast time flies. But if I could have just a moment, one moment to choose The way that I'd spend it and the things that I'd do…I would spend it with you. CHORUS I can't keep up with all this (even if I try) So I'll just drift, blow you a kiss so long and goodbye VERSE 2 There's some days I wake up and I wonder how it'd be if I had lots of money A car, a home in the hills maybe and if it's really me Still I have to ask myself who's got the better gig in life – I guess we choose The one who's afraid to lose it all or those of us who've got nothing to lose. Cause I don't really want to live my life until my dying day Struggling to get the next dollar, the next thing anyway It's not worth my time CHORUS I can't keep up with all this (even if I try) So I'll just drift, blow you a kiss so long and goodbye (Harmonica Solo) VERSE 3 Every now and then I start to wonder about the meaning Of it all and I lose heart and start to get the feeling that things won't turn out right But then I stop to think about the way everything turns and works And the people that I've love, lost and hurt And I know it'll be alright Again I say life's too short not to realize what you've got And it's too long to linger on the things that you've lost Love everybody and let 'em love CHORUS I can't keep up with all this (even if I try) So I'll just drift, blow you a kiss so long and goodbye Stay right here and let me feel you are mine Sit right here and let me feel that I am yours

Reality Try Outs By: Brad Shaw - The Silent Partner Tried out for reality today Sat me right down in a chair It seems that I’m not interesting It seems that my troubles and the clothes that I wear Are not enough for reasons to pull me through They tried to tell me my dad didn’t care They tried to tell me my mom didn’t too But it’s not the truth at all Keeping a roster full of hope A beautiful menagerie Calling them up all one by one Looking for the next thing that will be Not enough for reasons to pull me through They tried to tell me my dad didn’t care They tried to tell me mom didn’t too But it’s not the truth at all And all of these things, I (can’t really) wouldn’t say That they’re not each all important With every breath; every step that we take They're all each so very important To us, through us…we’re all each so important

Dear Brad 04:25
Dear Brad VERSE 1 Dear Brad, I got your note today Sometimes I need to hear these things Things have been hectic as of late I try my hardest to get through it all VERSE 2 Dear Brad, so how have you been? I miss you and I listen to the disc you made me when I’m sad It makes me happy to know that someone really loves me so much CHORUS I already know that things will work out It’ll be okay, but it’s still really hard to ask for help I don’t think that’s something I have learned how to do yet VERSE 3 Dear Brad, sorry I haven’t called I haven’t been in the mood to talk on the phone, I don’t know why, but it’s just something I’m doing for now CHORUS I already know that things will work out It’ll be okay, but it’s still really hard to ask for help I don’t think that’s something I have learned how to do yet I only know how to rely on myself But I do look forward to the day That I can put more trust in God and other people VERSE 4 Dear Brad, I hope email will work for now I’m going to try to find a job I feel if I don’t figure something out Soon I’m going to lose my mind CHORUS I already know that things will work out It’ll be okay, but it’s still really hard to ask for help I don’t think that’s something I have learned how to do yet I only know how to rely on myself But I do look forward to the day That I can put more trust in God and other people

CHORUS: If I’m gonna buy you chocolate and diamonds You can come half way and I’ll climb in right beside you And I’m gonna tell you anything you want me to Just keep it in mind everything I ever do is for you VERSE 1: People are cautious People are passionate at trying to start Get caught in a whirlwind And breaking apart CHORUS So if I’m gonna buy you chocolate and diamonds You’re gonna have to come half way; I’ll jump in right beside you And I’m gonna tell you anything you want me to Just keep it in mind everything I ever do is for you VERSE 2 People are crazy People are passionate at breaking apart Just to go back again And try from the start CHORUS So if I’m gonna buy you chocolate and diamonds You’re gonna have to come half way; I’ll jump in right beside you And I’m gonna tell you anything you want me to Just keep it in mind everything I ever do is for you BRIDGE: It’s alright if we fight People say it happens for the rest of our lives It’s okay if we wait Or maybe rush it all and it becomes all a waste Time will decide if we were right Hold out for tomorrow maybe just for tonight I want to know if this is real Well, maybe hold on for just tomorrow CHORUS If I want to buy you chocolate and Diamonds Come halfway, I’ll jump in right beside you And I’m gonna tell you anything you want me to Just keep it in mind that everything I do is for you
